Ok, I just uploaded ours to the signature stamps file.... I'm
actually looking to change mine to some sort of a duck, what I
really am lookin for is a canvasback, just not artsy enough to draw
one!
Heidi loves the sun/moon/stars prints which explains hers...and I
just saw on Chuck and Molly's web site that he uses the same
stamp! Madras is our darling chocolate labrador retreiver, hence
the brown dog stamp. I love fly fishing, hence mine! The switch to
canvasback (once i find one!) will be due to the fact that my
obsession for waterfowl hunting has surpassed my fishing fever...
and the first canvasback that I saw was a group of 4 that set down
on our dekes at a local lake... I was so dumbfounded and in awe that
I sat and watched the birds rather than raising the shotgun! I've
kicked myself for 3 years for not taking care of business. Every
trip since I have wondered if i will ever add one to my bag, they're
currently a closed season year-round due to dwindling numbers.

Wow! There are some VERY impressive signature stamps up there in the
files section! It's great to be able to see other people's work - it
inspires me to do better. I've just added my signature stamp as well
as my beautiful young assistant's stamp (Gardener) to the collection.
Ok, she's my wife too. :-)

Steve: Just a little unsolicited "taking to task", which you won't
exactly thank me for. But it occurred to me at once that you could
as well have "added the canvas-back to your bag" by taking a photo or
merely recording the observation in a journal . . . thereby, no dead
duck !
So I should tell one on myself while I'm at it: an inveterate
collector of things, it has occured to me - too late - that I might
well have collected material things in this same fashion . . . hence,
avoided accumulation of carton-upon-carton of canning jars, glass
insulators, model trains, etc. in storage. Since I've recently
moved, I'm keenly aware that I have sinned.

Steve,
Did you carve that fishing fly? I will be so totally impressed if
you say you did! The Lab is great too. (Stars and Moon are cute too
Heidi) If you tell me they are store bought I think I will feel
better and might continue carving.
I've just gotten started in carving and am seeing some improvement,
but I am sure a long way from that quality!

My last name is not Drew, so there's no way in heck I could carve
that thing!!! LOL All 3 are store bought, actually my mom picked
them out and bought them for us one day after Patrick told me about
LB and I mentioned in from of Mom and Heidi. She's a good mother!
And had us pegged for good stamps too!
I too have just started carving, Heidi has no interest in being that
artsy! I'm considering re-carving my firefighting series prior to
planting the boxes because they are quiet rough. I think the best
thing I have done so far is a Striped Bass and I just have to decide
either where to put it, or if it's going to be a HH.
I'm currently contemplating a Traveler for Madras which will be a
variation of a milk-bone, and You'll have to supply a gift (be it a
pet on the head or a milkbone!) to receive it!
